VANCOUVER - BEST RESTAURANTS
Introduction
Vancouver, which is beautifully surrounded by water on three sides and nestled alongside the coast, was always proud of its multiculturalism; it is the third largest enclave outside the Orient; visiting the Sun Yat-Sen (Chinese Garden) is a must and saves yourself a ticket to Tokyo. Talking about Japan, try out Tojo's for the best sushi in town. What about whale watching? Yes, you are right on Stubes Island located on the North-eastern tip of Vancouver Island. Jonstone Strait is the seasonal home of the world's largest concentration of orcas (killer whales) from late June throughout the winter months. You are shoot up?

THE OBSERVATORY
Dinner with a stunning view doesn't come cheap; Chef Dino L. Gazzola's menu's à la carte pricing is a flat $16 for appetizers and $39 for entrées; advance reservations do, however, include a free Skyride ticket, which would otherwise cost $37.95 a person; so if you want to make a night of it and enjoy the outdoor activities, the cost is actually quite reasonable and in addition - the food is very good – exceptionally good for a mountaintop restaurant! The Observatory's contemporary BC menu has harnessed the remarkable confluence of local flavors and worldly techniques that give the province its unique character; go early and bring a change of clothes; and of all places! Grouse Mountain is a ski resort, for Pete's sake; why aren't winter boots allowed?
