Munich

Munich is the city of "Ludwig the Bavarian" near the Alps. It was founded by monks of the Benedictine order. Munich is famous for its annual Oktoberfest, Weisswürste and Lederhosen (which you have to wear at Oktoberfest if you don't want to be exposed as a tourist). Institutions of the city are the beer gardens and the soccer club Bayern Munich with its own emperor Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer. But there is much more to this dynamic city: Historic buildings, impressive architecture, design restaurants and the Christkindlmarkt during Christmas time. Among the most famous attractions are Frauenkirche, Königsplatz, Marienplatz, the Nymphenburg Palace and English Garden. "Servus" that's what you have to say every 5 seconds the moment you arrive in this fascinating city.

Gourmet Restaurants

The definite guide for food lovers and those who want to become one!

TANTRIS

“At Tantris it's all about you. we are not the focus of our gastronomic world. it is you. we only have one desire: to offer you a culinary experience you never had before. that is out promise to you." - perhaps a quite unusual philosophy for a top restaurant; chef Hans Haas completed his training as chef and commis de cuisine at "Gasthof Kellerwirt" in his hometown Wildschönau in Tirol, Austria. in 1982 he joined Eckart Witzigmann at his "Aubergine" in Munich; but it was 1991 that he answered the call of Fritz Eichbauer to come to Tantris, where he has been working and pampering his guests till today; in his cookbooks he reveals master chef recipes that are delight to all - both fans as well as demanding gourmet connoisseurs; he even has his own cookery school, which he opened in 2005.
