Berlin
BERLIN - BEST RESTAURANTS, HIPPEST NIGHTCLUBS & TOP HOTELS
Introduction
Berlin is reborn and a galvanic force in European and world affairs. The capital of Germany is cool, creative, inexpensive, full of energy and of exeptional landmarks like the Brandenburger Gate, the Victory Column, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz, Bellevue Palace, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the metal-and-glass Reichstag and the neue Nationalgalerie. But at the same time, a legendary haven for those that dare to explore the afterdark and a vibrant culinary scene. Visitors in the mass come to savour the intoxicating mix of the old and the new. Locals generally have that laid-back "I'm-a-Bernalista" attitude so rather leave the buttoned shirt and razor at home, and bring your trendiest scarf. Favourite note: there are no closing hours by law which means you need to carry your sunglasses at all times. Flying in the face of stuffy German stereotypes, famously liberal and fun-loving Berlin has long been a magnet for pleasure-seekers. Berlin ist the real city that never sleeps.
Night Clubs
Party with the A-listers, the locals and hip crowd in every city.
Here the coolest and best Night Clubs:
Berghain/Panorama Bar
Old power plant transferred into a techno engine. World famous for its hardcore beats. A place one tends to end up on a redbull-infused trip, or whatever keeps the vibe going. Don't flash your black amex, it won't help.
Cassiopeia
Once a train repair shop, now a grungy underground club. Indoor skate park and outside cinema. Not everyone's cup of tea, but worth the experience. Try make friends with the smoking rasta rebels.
Cookies
The cream of the crop rated the hippest long running club in the capital. Head to the back of Hotel Westin Grand, the only way in on Saturdays! Trust the locals. Restricted door access so don't act like a tourist.

The ultimate cosmo-commercial option for yuppies. Dollied mannequins flock to the 1200 euro vodka tables, hence the late night hookups. Definitely not this city's the most typical club. Glam up or stay out!
Rodeo
Former postal building delivering no more letters but music for every taste. An alternative yet cool crowd. Hard to find. Look out for flashing red lights just off Oranienburger Strasse.
Spindler & Klatt
Loft-like warehouse with an awesome terrace. Rsvp for the 2.4 meter outdoor lounge beds. DJ's spin hard electronic beats from 11 onwards. Slightly preppy and touristy, yet full of locals. Who would think.
